Which one sounds like you

Anxiety Isn't One Thing

How it shows up, how long it has run, and whether low mood sits alongside it all change what helps. Find the pattern that sounds like you.

Generalized anxiety
Worry you cannot switch off, across many areas of life, most days, often with tension, restlessness and poor sleep.
Panic attacks
Sudden surges of fear with physical symptoms like a racing heart and breathlessness, and dread of the next one.
Social anxiety
A strong fear of being judged that pushes you to avoid everyday situations.
Anxious depression
Anxiety and low mood at the same time. Very common, and it changes what treatment is likely to work. This is the situation Deep TMS is FDA-cleared to help with.
Worry that drags your mood down
Constant anxiety that wears away at motivation and energy until low mood sets in too.
Depression that feels like being on edge
Low mood that shows up as agitation and restlessness rather than sadness.
Health anxiety
Persistent fear about your health that reassurance does not settle for long.
Anxiety and insomnia
A racing mind at night, broken sleep, and anxiety that is worse the next day.
Anxiety after long-term stress
Months of pressure or burnout have tipped into constant anxiety.

How We Treat Anxiety

Medication is often the starting point. Deep TMS is FDA-cleared for depression, including the anxiety that comes with it, and used when medication alone has not been enough.

Medication management
Psychiatrist-led

SSRIs for OCD, often at higher doses and for longer than in depression, and sometimes clomipramine. Reviewed properly, not simply refilled.

Format First visit in person, follow-ups by telehealth

Standard Deep TMS
FDA-cleared for OCD

Magnetic pulses target the brain circuit tied to OCD, a different site from the one used for depression. A brief, tailored exercise before each session brings your symptoms to the surface so the stimulation lands where it should. Nothing enters your bloodstream.

Course Five days a week, about six weeks
Session About 20 minutes, drive yourself home
Insurance Often covered, we check for you

Who We Can help, And Who We Can't

What you have already tried matters as much as your diagnosis. If we are not the right place, we will tell you.

  • You have anxiety and low mood together, and medication alone has not been enough
  • You have been on an SSRI or SNRI but still feel on edge most days
  • Two or more medications have not given you enough relief
  • You want a non-drug option and had not heard TMS is cleared for depression with anxiety
  • Anxiety is affecting your sleep, work or relationships and has never been properly assessed
Not the right place

  • You need inpatient or emergency care

Our promise

Two Things We Commit to

1
We won't push a machine you don't need yet

If the right medication has not been tried properly, that is where we start. Deep TMS is for when it has not been enough, not a shortcut past it.

2
If it isn't working, we'll say so

We track your anxiety and mood with the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 at the start, partway through and at the end. No pushing you through a course that isn't helping.

Frequently asked

What patients ask before reaching out.

  • Do I need a referral?

No, not for any of our treatments. Contact us directly. If you already have a therapist or psychiatrist, we coordinate with them with your permission.

  • Can TMS treat anxiety, or only depression?

Deep TMS is FDA-cleared for depression, including reducing the anxiety that comes with it. If your anxiety sits alongside low mood, that is the situation it is cleared to help. For anxiety on its own, we will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

  • Do I have to stop my medication?

No. Deep TMS is done alongside your medication. Any change to what you take is a decision you make with your prescriber, never a condition of starting.

  • Is TMS the same as ECT or shock therapy?

No. You stay fully awake, there is no anesthetic, nothing enters your bloodstream, and you drive yourself home afterwards.

  • How long before I'd notice a difference?

It varies from person to person. A course runs five days a week over about six weeks, and change tends to build gradually rather than all at once. We track it with you as we go.

  • Will insurance cover it?

We check your specific plan before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises.

  • Can I keep seeing my own therapist?

Yes. If you are seeing a therapist or counselor, we coordinate with them with your permission. Medication and TMS work well alongside talk therapy.
